WARNING: You have to know basic sewing skills to be able to define the legs from the body!

Terminology US: MR: Magic Ring sc: Single crochet inc: Increase (to do 2 sc in the same stitch) dec: Decrease (to close two stitches together to become one) sl st: Slip stitch
Materiais: – 4,0mm hook
– White yarn
– Polyester filling
– Felt for the eyes
– Glue
– Tapestry needle to sew the parts together    

This Baymax is BIG, if you want a smaller one, adapt the proportions!

Head:

1. MR 6sc (6)

2. 1inc in every sc from round 1 (12)

3. 1sc, 1 inc – 6x (18)

4. 2sc, 1 inc – 6x (24)

5. 3sc, 1inc – 6x (30)

6. 4sc, 1 inc – 6x (36)

7. 5sc, 1 inc – 6x (42)

8. 6sc, 1 inc – 6x (48)

Now, let’s make 20 rounds with 48 stitches in each one:

9-29. 48sc

Now, let’s start decreasing it until we have 18 stitches, so we can stuff it:

30. 6sc, 1dec – 6x (42)

31. 5sc, 1dec – 6x (36)

32. 4sc, 1dec – 6x (30)

33. 3sc, 1dec – 6x (24)

34. 2 sc, 1dec – 6x (18)

Let’s stuff it and continue decreasing it until we close it.

35. 1sc, 1dec – 6x (12)

36. 1dec – 6x (6)

Close it with a slip stitches and fasten off.

Body:

1. MR 6sc (6)

2. 1inc in every sc from round 1 (12)

3. 1sc, 1 inc – 6x (18)

Now, let’s start decreasing it until we have 18 stitches, so we can stuff it:

54. 9sc, 1dec – 6x (60)

55. 8sc, 1dec – 6x (54)

56. 7sc, 1dec – 6x (48)

57. 6sc, 1dec – 6x (42)

58. 5sc, 1dec – 6x (36)

Let’s stuff it and continue decreasing it until we close it. Reeeeeally stuff it! It’s gonna be like a pillow!

Close it with a slip stitches and fasten off.

Sew the head to the top of the body!

Legs: Make 2

Use felt to do the eyes and mouth. Glue it but be careful, don’t use too much glue.

It’s done!

It’s simple, even though it’s time consuming. But it’s definitely worth it!
